E-Waste Recycling

E-waste is the word used to describe electronic products coming to the end of their use.

E-waste includes:

  • Entertainment Devices (TV, movie players, tuners, video game console, Hi Fi systems, speakers)
  • Office (Computers hard drives, screens, keyboards, mouse, photocopies, scanners, telephones, servers, data cables / cords)
  • Mobile phones, charging devices & cords
  • Household (Fridges, freezers, microwaves, toasters, washing machines, dishwashers, coffee machines, bread makers, pressure cookers)
  • Lighting (Desk lamps, flood lights)
  • Power Tools (drills, grinders, welders)
  • Leisure (Electronic toys and fitness machines)

The Victorian Government has introduced a ban on the disposal of e-waste into landfill from July 2019. Any device with a power cord or battery is prohibited from landfill and your general waste bin.

Speedie Recycle offers a range of E-Waste Recycling Services, including regular weekly collections and one-off collections. The benefits we all share by diverting e-waste from landfill include less consumption of precious and limited raw materials to produce more electronic products and less greenhouse gas emissions associated with products made from these mined virgin materials.

E-Waste which ends up in our landfills add heavy metals to ground water and soil, and damages our environment in the long term.

Please contact our friendly Customer Care Team or your Sales Rep for quote and advice on how to recycle your E-Waste in a sustainable way. Our Planet will thank you.
