Your experienced Waste Management Consultant can guide you toward tailoring a waste management plan, which  focuses on minimising your footprint on the environment and to optimize recycling and repurpose, wherever possible, with an aim toward a community collective zero waste goal.

Speedie Waste & Recycle is committed to our Ensuring Tomorrow environmental objectives of:

  • Continually minimising our carbon footprint;
  • Actively minimising and diverting waste from landfill
  • Making all staff and contractors aware of and compliant with the Company's Business Management Systems, which incorporate environment systems and AS/NZS 4801:2001.

Speedie Waste & Recycle will educate and inform our customers of best practice waste reduction and diversion of waste from landfill. This is referenced by The Waste Hierarchy in the Environment Protection Act 1970. The Act states that all waste should be managed according to the hierarchy with avoidance being the most desired option and disposal the least preferred

The waste management hierarchy breaks this process down into four parts, also known as the Four R's: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle

Speedie Waste & Recycle encourages all of its customers to apply the following 4RS of Recycling:

  • Refuse: take on the responsibility of waste, cut down on your waste simply by refusing to buy non-recyclable goods, individually packaged items and single-use plastics
  • Reduce: limit the amount of waste you create
  • Reuse: use something again that you would normally throw away (e.g. glass jars for food or plastic bags for bin liners.)
  • Recycle: separate and sort waste materials so that they can be converted into new materials and objects, and even used for energy to power our homes
